Seattle will undergo an incredible transformation within the next 10 years as the viaduct is demolished and the waterfront is rebuilt:

What will become of the natural ecosystems that live along the downtown waterfront?

How will the salmon migrating north from the Duwamish River be provided for and protected?

What examples of smart urban waterfront development can we follow?

I hope my travels to Australia where smart seawalls and urban development have changed the city’s marine habitats for the better will shed some light on these questions and many more.
